Mercy Manning joined the team at Aligned Data Centers in 2016. Prior to Aligned, Mercy spent 12 years pioneering new IoT, wireless and AI-enabled energy efficiency technologies for mission-critical, colocation, and commercial real estate portfolios across North America, Europe, and Asia.
Mercy started her career in technology investment banking with Deutsche Bank. She holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Urban and Regional Planning from the London School of Economics and Political Science as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
In her current role, Mercy is responsible for strategic account growth with the major cloud providers and the hyperscale community. She is also responsible for promoting Aligned’s resource efficiency objectives and core sustainability values, both within the industry and within Aligned’s leadership team. She also provides guidance to Aligned’s ESG initiatives.
Mercy is active in industry volunteer organizations, like Women’s Technology Forum and Infrastructure Masons (IM), and previously led IM’s first DEI initiative, IM Women, aimed at increasing, sustaining and elevating women working in technical infrastructure. She is also a past multi-term Board Member for Natural Resources and Urban Solutions, 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations in San Francisco, CA, and is currently a volunteer with Live Power Community Farm.
Mercy’s strategic sales, business development and finance experience spans the tech industry and is rooted in the start-up culture of Silicon Valley. She is excited to bring her experience and wisdom to the Board of Toptana Technologies, where her perspectives on earning customer trust, start-up company growth, mission critical environments, ESG, and sustainability will form the core of the company’s strategy.
